Funeral services for Ray N. Gee, 91 who died Saturday at his home of 104 Elizabeth street will be held at the Missionary Church at 1 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Dale Turner will officiate. Interment will be in Sunset Hill cemetery.
Born April 6, 1886 at Bunker Hill in Ingham County Ray Nelson Gee came to the East Jordan area in a covered wagon at the age of six years. He was a lumberjack by trade and was employed at various logging camps in the area until 1932 when he went to work for the East Jordan Iron Works. He retired in 1963.
On Nov. 7, 1907 he was married to the former Nora M. Hayes who preceded him in death on June 7, 1972. He had been a member of the I.O.O.F in East Jordan and attended the Missionary Church.
He is survived by three sons, Earl C, Glen R. and Vale M. all of East Jordan two daughters Mrs. Frank (Evelyn) Neumann and Mrs. James (Fern)Bennett also of East Jordan 30 grandchildren and 58 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Watson funeral home were in charge of the arrangements.
