FERGUSON ADKINS, 73, of Sias, died Tuesday, December 11, 1979 in St. Marys Hospital, Huntington, after a short illness. He was a former farmer and merchant and was a retired postmaster at Hager. Surviving: wife, Pearl May Adkins; daughter, Mrs. Ivadene Honaker of Sias; sister, Mrs. Hazel Thompson of West Hamlin. Services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Koontz Funeral Home, Hamlin, with Rev. Ira Adkins and Rev. Oshel Bell officiating. Burial was in Forest Memorial Park, Milton, WV.

Note: He lived on Big Laurel Road. He was also survived by son-in-law Charles W. "Billy" Honaker. Ferguson was the son of William Green Adkins and Minnie Stump.
