Lastrup - Mathew Gross, 71, a former resident of Lastrup, died Thursday at St. Joseph's Hospital in Park Rapids.
Mr. Gross was born in Lastrup on Feb. 13, 1914. He had been residing at the Ah-Gwah-Ching Nursing Home near Walker.
Surviving are three brothers, Frank and John of Lastrup and Henry of St. Cloud; and one sister, Gertrude Gross of Lastrup.
Private services were held Friday at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Pierz.
