Peggy Lou Harrison, 79, passed away Friday, Aug. 29, 2008, in River Oaks.
Funeral: 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in Greenwood Chapel. Burial: Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Greenwood Funeral Home.
Peggy was born Aug. 1, 1929, in Coesfield, the first child to Roy and Winnie Montgomery. She lived in many small north Texas towns as her father was a school teacher and minister. She married her loving husband, Ed, and raised four beautiful children.
Peggy worked for over 30 years as supervisor in the Invoice Records Department at Montgomery Ward on 7th Street in Fort Worth. After her retirement, Peggy loved to travel across country to the New England states and enjoyed trips to Europe. She was a devoted member of the Castleberry Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Betty Franks; and her loving son, Benjamin.
Survivors: Husband of 62 years, Ed; brother, Ron Montgomery and wife, Sharon; daughters, Debbie Mumaw, Denise Jones and husband, Howard, and Donna Harrison; grandchildren, Scott, Dixie, Barney, Rebecca, Caleb, Michelle, Crystal, Magan, Logan, Chad and Heather; 16 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
