Thomas & Elizabeth were my Great x 3 Grandparents. Their son George W. Vawn is my line. Included in family photos handed down to me, was the photo I posted here of Thomas’ original headstone. I can only assume that since Thomas died 40 years prior to his wife Elizabeth, that when she passed, they combined the two headstones.
I was at the Shades Valley Union cemetery on 11-11-2020 and took the Photographs of the new combined headstone for both Elizabeth and Thomas. There were no signs or remnants of Thomas’ original headstone there. If anyone has information that would prove any of this to be inaccurate, please let me know.
