Mrs. Max Brandt

Funeral services for Mrs. Max Brandt, 50, Old Mooringsport Road, who died early Monday morning en route to a local hospital following a heart attack will be held Tuesday at 3 p. m. at Wellman funeral chapel with Rabbi Leo Brener, of the Agudath Achim congregation officiating. Interment will be in the Orthodox Hebrew Rest cememtery.

Mrs. Max Brandt

Mrs. Max Brandt, a Shreveport resident for 19 years, died at 8:30 a.m. en route to a local sanitarium after suffering a heart attack. She was the wife of the owner of the A & B Pipe and Supply Co. here.

The former Ferne Cofield, Mrs. Brandt was born in St. Louis, MO*. She was a member of the Congregation Agudath Achim, B'nai Brith and Hadassah.

Surviving are her husband, a son Jack Brandt, and a brother, Walter Cofield, all of Shreveport.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Wellman's Funeral Home. Rabbi Leo Brenner will officiate. Burial will be in the Orthodox Hebrew Rest cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Mike Maroun, Joe Carroll, Al Hughes, Leon Hendricks, Lester Wilson, Dr. Graham Cherry, Henry Schwartz and John W. Willis.

Honorary pallbearers will be all members of the Congregation Agudath Achim. Members of BPOE Shreveport lodge 122, and Edgar Davis, Isaac Abramson, Frank McElroy, Sylvan Gamm, L. L. Sugar, Lekan Semon, Joe Loftus, Joe Burnham, Jack Reddy, W. M. Guice, Samuel Lyons, Harry Fox, Dr. J. M. Bodenheimer and Jules Fogel.

*She was actually born in Jefferson County, Illinois.
