Youngest son of Tarlton Bond and Martha Sweatman. Married Clara Margaret Oliver Jun 18, 1878 in Athens, Henderson County, TX. They bought a farm in Wise County, TX four miles east of Boonsville and raised a family of 11 children. In 1911, due to health problems, they sold the farm and moved to Graford, Palo Pinto County, TX. They bought a hotel, named it the Bond hotel and operated it until their deaths.
