Rites Held at Fairmount for Peter Vandreissche

FAIRMOUNT – Funeral services were held March 31 at 2 p.m. at the Fairmount Methodist church for Peter Vandreissche, 50, of Fairmount, who died unexpectedly March 28 near Amos Corners while fishing with a companion, Edward Evans.

The services were conducted by Rev. Gerald O. Breithaupt, pastor, and burial was in Davis Cemetery with the Carrington funeral home in charge.

Mr. Vandreissche was born December 13, 1907 at Iron Mountain, Mich. He was married April 7, 1931 to Eleanor Yarabrough, who survives. He was a pipefitter and lived in Fairmount for five years.

Survivors include a son, William of Sherman Oaks, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. Carl Kirby of Fairmount and Phyllis at home, and two brothers, Edward and Rene, both of Chicago.
