THOMAS CAIN served in the Union Army of the Civil War as a private in Company K Regiment 99, Pennsylvania Infantry. He died on 2 July 1863 and is buried in a mass grave in Gettysburg National Miltary Park, 97 Taney Town Road, Gettsyburg, PA, Seaction A, Site 24.

Thomas Cain was the fourth of six children born to Sarah Ann and James Cain of Butler County, Pennsylvania.
