Mrs. Lydia Virginia Clopper, 82, formerly of N. Martin St., died Tuesday at the Washington County Hospital.

Born near Mercersburg, she was the daughter of Simon and Sarah Hornbaker.

She was the widow of Finley Clopper.

She was a life-long resident of Clear Spring and most recently of Avalon Manor.

She was one of the oldest members of the Blairs Valley Church of God, the Ladies Bible Class and Women's
Christian Service Council.

She is the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Surviving are daughters, Mrs. Charlotte Eccard of Hyattsville, Mrs. Dorothy Beall of Baltimore, and Mrs. Jean Shupp of Hagerstown; sons, Allen Clopper of Hagerstown and Richard Clopper of Big Spring; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the Blairs Valley Church of God with the Revs. Robert S. Easterday and Paul W. Moore officiating; burial in the adjoining cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home in Williamsport Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.
and the casket will be open one hour prior to the services in the church.
