OKOLONA - David Bowens, 43 died Wednesday, May 15, 2002, at the North Mississippi Medical Center. He was born October 8, 1958. He was a member of Clark's Chapel M. B. Church.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Clark's Chapel M. B. Church with the Rev. L. C. Cook officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Carter's Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include his mother, Ollie Mae Johnson; his father Clifford L. Bowen; three sisters, Betty Holman of Okolona, Joyce A. Cunningham and husband, Walter, of Okolona, and Renee Gamer and her husband, Derrick; two brothers, Randy Johnson of Okolona and Orlando Bowens of South Bend, Ind., three sons, Christopher Jones and Kirby Collins of Okolona, and David Bowen Jr., of Dorsey; two daughters, Chaka James and Starr James both of Tupelo.
