Peter A. Warlick was the son of Mary Hoyle and Lewis B. Warlock.
He married January 12, 1826, Katherine Shuford, daughter of Ollie Abernethy and Philip Shuford. She was born about 1807; buried at Grace Lutheran Cemetery, Newton, Catawba County, North Carolina.
Peter was one of the first commissioners of Catawba County.
They had six children:
1. Margaret Ann Warlick; b. 1827; m. Maxwell Ramsaur.
2. Harriet Elizabeth Warlick; b. 1830, d. before 1901; m. Robert Patton.
3. Mary Elmina Warlick; b. 1834, d.s. 1858
4. Robert O. Sylvanus Warlick; b. 1837, d. 1858
5. John Crooks Warlick; b. 1840, d. 1840
6. Sarah Frances Warlick; b. 1843, d. before 1901; m. L. F. Warlick.
