Walter Thornton Janes, 85, Canton, O., died Sunday morning in Mercy hospital in Canton after six weeks illness. He was a son of the late John Janes and Isa Sarber Janes of Waverly Rt. 2. Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, Mary Janson Janes; one son, Sterling Janes, Waverly; two sisters, Mrs. Cora Sweeney, Cleveland, and Mrs. Helen Johnson, Parkersburg; one brother, C. A. Janes, Waverly. he body will be received today by the Ogdin funeral home where services will be held in the chapel Wednesday at 2 p.m., the Rev. Esker Groves of the Waverly Methodist church officiating. Burial will follow in the K. of P. cemetery in Williamstosn.
