Mrs. Cora Belle Sweeney, 67, of Waverly, Rt. 2, was pronounced dead on arrival at St. Joseph's Hospital yesterday after becoming ill at her home. Born in Pleasants county, she was a daughter of the late John and Isa Sarber Janes. She was a member of the Waverly United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband, Harry H. Sweeney; one son, William Sweeney of Waverly; two daughters, Mrs. Hal (Joann) Smith of St.Marys and Mrs. Don (Pat) Fetty of St. Marys. Rt. 3; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Helen Johnson of Parkersburg; one brother, C.A. (Buss) Janes of St. Marys Rt. 3. She was preceded in death by one son. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Waverly U.M. Church. The Rev. Wilbur Hardin will officiate with burial to be in the Riverview Cemetery at Williamstown. Friends may call at the Ogdin Funeral Home after 7 p.m. today until noon Sunday when the body will be taken to the church to line in state for one hour prior to services.
