According to the Rock Island Cemetery Registers of Deaths of Volunteers, Antrim Nox (Spelled Knox in these records) died of Typhoid Fever, Nov. 22, 1863, General Hospital, Davenport, IA., as Antrium Knox, Company A, 21st Iowa. His death was recorded on Feb. 11, 1864 by the 21st Iowa. Army records seem to list the date reported as date of death, when the soldier was not with the command at time of death.

Based on enlistment, his service included Battles of Woods Fort & Hartsville, Mo while on way to reinforce City of Springfield on Jan 11 1863.
During the Vicksburg Campaign, Battles of Port Gibson (Apr 29 ), Champion's Hill (May 16), Big Black River (May 17) Suicidal frontal assault of heavily fortified Ft. Beauregard at Vicksburg (May 22), Siege of Vicksburg (May-Jul), Siege of Jackson(Jul 10, 1863). Sent to New Orleans Aug 13, 1863, thence to various posts in Texas for several months.
He is the brother of John W. Antrim, Company E, 21st Iowa Volunteer Infantry.FAG #48449234
