Kickapoo, IL - James F. "Jim" Schaub of Whitney, Texas, formerly of Kickapoo, passed away on Friday, Aug. 8, 2008, in Dallas, Texas, after a battle with cancer.

Jim lived in Whitney, Texas, with his wife, Donna. He moved to Rockmart, Ga., in 1975, where he lived and worked prior to moving to Texas in 2004.

He was born Dec. 23, 1946, in Kickapoo, Ill., to Vincent V. Schaub Sr. and Thelma Mae Betts Schaub, who have preceded him in death.

Survivors include his loving wife, Donna; a son, Danny Schaub of Illinois; daughters, Yvonne Schaub of Dallas, Ga., and Kelsey Schaub (and partner, Nick Caswell) of Rockmart, Ga.; stepson, Dale Morrow of Sawyer, Mich.; and stepdaughter, Dena Lyle of Crowley, Texas; brothers, Tom (and wife, Ursula) Schaub of Eagle River, Wis., Vince Jr. (and wife, Linda) Schaub of Leesburg, Fla., and Steve Schaub of Peoria, Ill.; sisters, Carol (and husband, Mike) Largent of Chokoloskee Island, Fla., Fran Losey of Cypress, Texas, Helen (and husband, Lemon) Smith of Rockmart, Ga., Betty (and husband, Robert) Adkison of Tennessee and Illinois, and Kathy (and David) Orten of Elmwood, Ill.; step granddaughter, Lacy Lyle of Crowley, Texas; Kyle and Mathew Morrow of Sawyer, Mich.; mother-in-law, Jean Cowan of Whitney, Texas; brother-in-law, Charles Carter of Collinsville, Ill.; sister-in-law, Phyllis Thurman of Weatherford, Texas; and numerous cousins, nephews, nieces and many friends.

Jim was a Navy veteran and served four years during the Vietnam War.

Jim drove various sizes of trucks in his trucking career before settling on driving an 18-wheeler for Safeway Oil & Recovery in Waco, Texas.

Jim will be sorely missed by all who had the opportunity to know him.

His daughters, Kelsey and Yvonne Schaub, will host a family memorial in Rockmart, Ga., at a later date.
