Dorothy Ann Spiker, 73, of Parkersburg passed from this life at Camden Clark Memorial Hospital on May 31, 2004 after a brave struggle against heart disease.

She was born on Christmas Day, 1930 in Parkersburg, the daughter of the late Delbert and Opal Morris Currey.
Dot was a devoted woman in any role she was given to fulfill in this earthly life and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Willing Workers Sunday School Class, the Star of Hope Circle, Trinity United Methodist Women and the auxiliary of Camden Clark Hospital.

She is survived by her devoted husband, John Robert, loving daughter, Vicki Smith and husband, Paul of Sebastian, Florida, grandson, Darren Pitchford, and sister, Pat Anderson, Parkersburg. She leaves numerous relatives and friends who will truly miss her.
In addition to her parents, Dot, was preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret Anderson and Helen Rader and one brother, D.M. Currey.

A memorial service of her life will be celebrated at 11 a.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church, Parkersburg, on Friday, June the 4th with Reverends James Burdette and Chuck Furbee presiding.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested her friends and relatives make a donation to the American Heart Association or contribute a gift of life to the local American Red Cross blood drive.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg. Burial of ashes will be held at the convenience of the family.
