George Kirchman, 82, of 53 West Diehl Road, Danville, passed away Friday, Jan. 27, 2006, at the Millville Health Care Center.
He was born Nov. 11, 1923 in Washington, Mo., a son of the late George and Louise Holdren Kirchman.
He attended Washingtonville School and served in the U.S. Army during World War II, receiving two purple hearts. Mr. Kirchman was employed as a superintendent for Industrial Construction.
He is survived by his wife, the former Jessie Kitchen, whom he married March 24, 1946, in Derry Township; one son, Clayton G., and his wife, Elaine Kirchman of Danville; one daughter, Cathy and her husband, David Riley of Virigina; seven grandchildren and one sister, Beatrice Hildebrandt of Bloomsburg.
The service will be held at the convenience of the family.
Bunnell Funeral Home Inc., 179 E. Main St., Millville is in charge of arrangements.
