Carol Louise Kirchman, 55, of Charlotte Hall, Md., died Monday, Jan. 13, 2003, due to injuries suffered in an automobile accident in LaPlata, Md. She had lived the last 30 years in Maryland.
Born in Bloomsburg, Sept. 16, 1947, she was a daughter of George and Jessie Kitchen Kirchman of Danville.
Ms. Kirchman was a school teacher at Lackey High School in Maryland.
She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Maryland, where she was also on the Women's and kitchen committees.
Ms. Kirchman enjoyed arts and crafts and gardening.
In addition to her parents, surviving are her two sons: Mathew A Strouse, Orlando, Fla., and Nathaniel K Strouse, Charlotte Hall, Md.; a brother Clayton G. Kirchman, Danville; and a sister, Mrs. David (Cathy) Riley, Summerville, S.C.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday from St. Paul's Emmanuel Methodist Church, Pine and Mahoning streets, Danville. The Rev. C. Rayvon Hillard will officiate. Burial will be in Columbia Hill Cemetery, West Hemlock Township. Bunnell Funeral Home Inc., is in charge of local arrangements.
