Malbert Franklin Davis, 81 of 120 W. Pine St., Mount Airy, died Friday in Northern Hospital of Surry County. Born April 10, 1903 in Surry county, he was the son of Charles and Mary Hodge Davis. He attended the First Baptist Church of Mount Airy and was a well-known business.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mary Worrell Davis; three daughters, Miss Betty Davis of Mount Airy and Mrs. Judy Davis Bryan and Mrs. Joy Davis Whitman, both of Greensboro; two sons, Malbert Davis Jr. of the home, and bobby Davis of Rt. 1, Lowgap; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Moody Funeral Home here, conducted by the Rev. Julian M. Aldridge Jr., with interment following in Oakdale Cemetery.The Family will receive friends at Moody Funeral Home Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m.
