Davis Mt. AIRY- Mr. Seldon Charles Davis, 77 of 1608 S. Main Street, Mt. Airy, died Friday night at Northern Surry Hospital in Mt. Airy. Mr. Davis was born in Surry County May 21, 1905, the son of the late W. Charles and Mary Hodge Davis. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Thelma Jackson Davis of the home; one son, Albert J Davis of Mt Airy: four grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; six great grandchildren and eight step-great grandchildren. One sister. Mrs. Vera W. Spane of Mt. Airy; one brother Malbert Davis of Mt Airy. Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Oakdale Cemetery in Mt Airy by Dr. Al Miller. The body will remain at Moody Funeral Home of Mt. Airy until time to be taken to the cemetery for the funeral service. The family requests that flowers be omitted and that any memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or to the charity of the donor's choice.
