Charles J. Anderson

NORTH EASTON. — Following a long illness, Charles John Anderson, husband of the late Selma (Gustafson) Anderson, died today at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Carl Peterson, 17 Harrison avenue, with whom he made his home. He was born in Sweden, a son of Augusta and Martin Anderson. He operated a garage in Cambridge for many years, retiring six years ago and coming to this town to live.
Survivors include: One son, Arthur M., of Chicago; one daughter, Mrs. Carl Peterson, North Easton; two sisters, Emma Anderson of Taft, Calif.; Matilda Rosen, Easton; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Rev. Hubert Ahnquist of the Lebanon Lutheran church will conduct funeral services at a Centre street funeral home on Monday at 2 o'clock.

NORTH EASTON.—Funeral services were held for Charles J. Anderson Monday afternoon from the funeral home, 38 Centre street, with Rev. Hubert N. G. Ahnquist officiating. Mrs. Emil Kavka sang "Safe in the Arms of Jesus" and "Fade, fade, Each Earthly Joy." Many relatives, friends and neighbors were in attendance. Interment was in the South Easton cemetery, where committal prayers were said by Rev. Mr. Ahnquist. The bearers were William Van Wormer, Claude Mourey, Gunnar Larson and Francis Holmes.
