David J. Wetzel, life-long resident of Middlesex Township, died Tuesday evening at his home in Carlisle Springs. He was aged 82 years. He formerly was engaged in farming, but for a number of years had been retired.
He was a member of the New Kingstown I.O.O.F. and is survived by his wife, Carrie; a daughter, Mrs. Clarence Burgett, Carlisle Springs; a son, Clair Wetzel, at home; nine grandchildren, and a brother, Joseph Wetzel, Boiling Springs.
Funeral services will be held from the home at 1:30 Saturday afternoon with further rites in the Carlisle Springs Church, Rev. D.A. Brown, Reformed pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. Friends may call Friday night at the home.
