Guillermo "Willie" Huerta, 59, died October 9 following a lingering illness. Mr. Huerta was a lifelong resident of Grant County where he owned the Casa Blanca Bar for many years. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Josefina Huerta of Santa Rita; three sons, Arthur Fletcher of Sherman, Alfred Fletcher and Armando Fletcher, both of Bayard; and his father Felipe G. Huerta of El Paso, TX., also four sisters survive, Mrs. Paul O. Martinez of Bayard, Mrs. Bert Wing of El Paso, Mrs. Charles Fedak of Long Beach, CA., and Mrs. Warner Dutro of Anthony, TX; and three brothers, Sam and Danny Huerta, both of Bayard and Robert Huerta of Elgin, IL. Rosary was said at the Curtis Bright Chapel with the fuenral Mass being recited Saturday, October 12 at Our Lady ofFatima Catholic Church in Bayard. Interment followed in the Hurley Cemetery with the Rev. Fr. Jesus Espinosa officiating.
