Isabel Fincher died peacefully, Wednesday, July 7, at MUSC, surrounded by family members.
Mrs. Fincher was a longtime North Charleston business woman, founding Altman Insurance Agency with her husband in 1959. She was an active member of the Cooper River Baptist Church and then First Presbyterian Church, Moncks Corner.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 27 years Edgar Allen Altman, Sr., her husband of 36 years, Glenn Alexander Fincher, Sr., and her step-daughter, Anne Fincher Price.
She is survived by three sons, Edgar Allen Altman, Jr. of Green Cove Springs, FL, James Randall Altman of St. Augustine, FL, and Robert Warren Altman of Mount Pleasant; two step-daughters, Bette Fincher Wood of Pionopolis and Frances "Monkie" Fincher of Arlington, TX; and a step-son, Glenn A. Fincher, Jr. of Moncks Corner; 17 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Her funeral will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday morning, July 14, 2010, in the First Presbyterian Church, Moncks Corner. Interment will follow in Riverview Memorial Park, Charleston.
Friends may call at DIAL-MURRAY FUNERAL HOME, MONCKS CORNER, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday evening, and then at the church from 9:00 a.m., until the hour of service on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Association , PO Box 7044, Columbia, SC, 29202 or to the First Presbyterian Church, 419 West Main Street, Moncks Corner, SC 29461.
