Reports Three Children Drowned.
BOSTON, Dec. 7.–Playing on this ice cost the lives of three children in this vicinity. Ethel, aged eleven, daughter of Charles Anderson, and Martha, aged ten, daughter of John Anderson, were drowned in a pond in Northeaston. In Methuen, George Stack, Jr., aged thirteen lost his life trying to save his younger brother Arthur from the water of Mystic pond. Arthur was dragged to safety by a man.

Seven Persons Lost Their Lives By
Being Venturesome.

Boston, Dec. 7.–Playing on thin ice cost the lives of three children in this vicinity. Two young girls, Ethel, aged eleven, daughter of Charles Anderson, and Martha, aged ten, daughter of John A. Anderson, were drowned in a pond in North Easton.
In Methuen George Slack, Jr., aged thirteen, lost his life in trying to save his younger brother, Arthur, from the water of Mystic pond. Arthur was saved by a man who heard the outcries of the boys.
