Phoebe Reynolds was born September 15, 1836, near Dublin, Indiana and died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. F. A. Allen, in Ankeny, on Wednesday, April 15, 1925, aged 88 years, 8 months and 11 days.
She was united in marriage to Amos Bogue, December 21, 1853, and resided in Indiana until 1868 when they moved to Iowa in a covered wagon. Ten children were born to this union, four of whom are living. Her husband passed away twenty-six years ago.
Mrs. Bogue resided in this part of Iowa for years, was well known to a large number of people. She was a member of the Friends church for years.
The funeral services were held on Saturday afternoon from the Congregational church in Ankeny, conducted by Rev. Elliott, of Des Moines, assisted by Rev. Pierce, of Ankeny. The pallbearers were six of her grandsons, Charles, Alfred, Berle, Detleff, Victor and Kenneth. The remains were laid away in the Greenwood cemetery.
