He was admitted on 22 Sep 1896 to the Eastern Branch of the U. S. National Home for Disabled Volunteer Soldiers at Togus, Maine and was discharged on 6 Mar 1897. He was re-admitted on 22 Jul 1912 and died of mitral insufficiency on 30 Sep 1912.
