Mrs. Ella (Arbogast) Mathews, 81, of 1143 Daringer Ave. NW, Carrollton, died Sunday in the home of a daughter, Mrs. John (Ethel) Morgan of Rt. 1, Sherrodsville, where she had been residing since becoming ill. Born in Pendleton County, West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late John and Callie (Lambert) Mick. Her first husband, Ervin Arbogast, died in 1939.
Surviving in addition to Mrs. Morgan are four sons, Lester, William and Julian Arbogast of Carrollton and Raymond Arbogast of Clinton, Pennsylvania; three daughters, Mrs. Lawrence (Joy) McCartney of Carrollton, Mrs. John (Josephine) Dunlap of Anderson, South Carolina, and Mrs. Edward (Elvena) Brodzinsky of Aurora; three brothers, Saul Mick of Bergholz and Curt and Robert Mick of West Virginia; 28 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two daughters. Services were held Wednesday in the Sweeney-Dodds Funeral Home, here, with Rev. Eugene Worley officiating. Burial was in Perrysville Cemetery.
