CLEARFIELD - Wallace Peterson Stucki, 86, passed away Monday, December 31, 2007. He was born January 24, 1921 in Liberty, Idaho the son of Erastus Woodruff and Rhea Peterson Stucki. He grew up in Moroni, Utah and Paris, Idaho.

Dad left this life 20 days after the passing of his beloved wife of 63 years Louise Bartschi Stucki. They married during WWII on October 26, 1944 in Redwood City, California. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

Dad attended Ricks College and served in the Spanish-American Mission in the Southwestern States.

He was a radioman in the Navy in the South Pacific during WWII. Dad owned and operated the Feed and Grain Store in Paris, Idaho. After moving to Utah he worked various jobs to provide for his family, eventually retiring from Hill Air Force Base. After retirement he worked jobs from Wyoming and Idaho to Arizona and enjoyed traveling south during the winters with Mom. He was an avid golfer with a one handicap. Dad was a kind and gentle man who never met a stranger. He loved and enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving are his six children, Steven (Sherri); Kathryn; Lund (Kathy); Nancy (Randy) Matkin; Wynn (Lisa); and Tina (Tim) Pfuhl; 20 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are his oldest brother Eugene Stucki and youngest sister Afton Stucki Bartlett. Preceded in death by his wife, parents, brother, two sisters and granddaughters, Jessica and Emily.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 4, 2008 at 6:30 p.m. at Lindquist's Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends and family may call Friday from 5:00 to 6:15 p.m. at the mortuary.

Interment will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2007 at 11 a.m. in Paris, Idaho
