Adella loved life and tried to live it to the fullest. Whether climbing around in old barns or chaperoning girls, she was always on the go. Since her life was shortened by severe illness, she worked harder to fit everything in. Adella was the fourth child born to Erastus Woodruff and Afton Rhea Peterson Stucki. It wasn't long after high school graduation that she me her future husband. However he was not at all what she had planned on. She had more than once declared that she would never marry a dairy farmer or live in Liberty. Unfortunately Wilmer Brown owned a purebred dairy herd and it happened to be in no other place but Liberty! They were married September 8, 1952 in the Logan Temple. The first year of their marriage was spent in a log cabin until their new home could be built. They are the parents of four children, Dorothy, Betty, Wendell and Bruce. Adella learned to love Liberty and the farm. She also soon found that she had not only married a farmer, but also 52 cows. Adella was an active member of the LDS Church and held many positions, both at the ward and stake level. In the middle of her busy life ill health struck. She suffered from excruciating headaches and back pain that her doctors could find no cause or cure. The pain grew more crippling until one by one she was forced to give up the activities she so enjoyed. Never one to give up, and true to her faith, many stake meetings were conducted from her bedside. Now instead of doing, she had to teach her children to do. She passed away on to a better life on April 29, 1977 at the age of 46. She was proceeded in death by her parents and grandparents. She is survived by her loving husband, Wilmer; their four children, Dorothy (Lee) Birdwell, Germany, Betty, Liberty, Wendell (Sherry), Paris, ID and Bruce, Liberty and her siblings and their spouses, Eugene (Leonora) of Paris, Wallace (Louise) of Clearfield, Willard (Ada) of Paris, Jane (Sharp) Matthews of Paris and Afton (Reed) Bartlett of Kearns. Adella was laid to rest in the Liberty Cemetery.
