Douglas Buckingham, 73, a resident of Bridgeport, died Wednesday, July 29, at Mid-Valley Hospital, Omak.

He was born Nov. 26, 1905, at Hollister near Mansfield and spent his early years there. Mr. Buckingham was a mechanic by trade retiring in 1968. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the US Army. Following this discharge, he returned to Mansfield and in 1952 moved to the Bridgeport Bar.

He was a member of the Bethel Assembly of God Church and the Chief Joseph Gem and Mineral Club.

Survivors include one son, Ralph, San Diego, Calif.; one daughter Priscilla Williams, Los Angeles; two brothers, Arthur, Brewster and Ralph, Bridgeport; and six grandchildren.

Services were conducted Tuesday at 2 pm from the Bridgeport Assembly of God Church. Rev. Jerry Lewis and Rev. David Knapp officiated. Interment Bridgeport Cemetery. Service under direction of Barnes Chapel, Brewster.
