Arthur E. Buckingham, 73, Brewster, died Wednesday in Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane.

He was born September 15, 1910 near Mansfield.

Mr. Buckingham moved to Fresno, California and attended school there and moved to the Bridgeport area in 1926. On November 23, 1932, he married Ruth Morris in Bridgeport. He resided on Bridgeport Bar until 1950 when he moved to Chewelah to work for the Northwest Magnesite Company. He returned to this area in 1962 where he owned and managed an apple orchard on Brewster Flats. He attended the Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include his wife, at the home; a daughter, Kristy Reagan, Bothell; one son, John Richard, Brewster; one brother, Ralph, Bridgeport Bar; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son and one brother.

Funeral services were held Monday, March 19, at 1 pm from the Barnes Chapel, Brewster, with the Rev. Bill Long officiating. Committal services and interment in the Bridgeport Cemetery. The family suggests memorials be made to the Coronary Unit of Sacred Heart Medical Center. Arrangements by Barnes, Brewster.
