Eula R. Abbott, 96, a Clarkston homemaker, died Tuesday at Tri-State Convalescent Center of causes related to age.

She was born Jan. 27, 1894, to Robert and Ella (Wilson) Robison at Whittier, N.C. Her early education was in Texas. The family moved to the Northwest in 1903 by covered wagon and settled near Potlatch.

She married John W. Abbott on Feb. 14, 1921, at Clarkston. He died in 1964.

She was a homemaker and helped people in the Lewiston-Clarkston Valley care for their children. She was frequently seen pushing her wheelchair around downtown Clarkston until she suffered a stroke in March 1990.

Mrs. Abbott was a charter member of the Veterans of World War I Auxiliary at Clarkston.

She lived with her daughter-in-law, Joan Abbott, at Clarkston before entering Tri-State Convalescent Center in April.

Survivors include three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and four step-grandchildren.

A son, Rexford Earl Abbott, died in September 1987. Seven brothers and sisters also died previously.

The family suggests any memorials be sent to LOV-TV P.O. Box 1227, Lewiston, Idaho 83501 or the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 36, Clarkston, Wash. 99403.
