Miss Bessie Louise Eckler, youngest daughter of Mrs. Emily Eckler of Spring Grove died last Thursday in Louisville, Kentucky after a brief illness and was brought to Galena arriving here Friday morning. Her sister, Mrs. J. C. Rhodes was with her the last five days. Miss Eckler was 24 years of age and was well known in Galena where the family have resided a number of years tho she has been in the south for the past few years, a greater part of the time being engaged in the millinery business.
She is survived by her mother, one brother, John Eckler and five sisters, Mrs. William Ferneau, Mrs. J. C. Rhodes and Miss Randa Eckler all of Galena and Mrs. Lyman Crane of Pittsburg and Mrs. D. C. Hicks of Lawrence.
The funeral was held at 10:30 Saturday morning at the residence 1709 Joplin Street conducted by Mrs. George Braun, with interment in the Oak Hill cemetery.
