Mrs. Julia Link, 48, Succumbs Following Illness of Year

Mrs. Julia Link, 48, wife of Ephraim Link, 5225 East 6th avenue, Gary, died at 5 p.m., Wednesday, in Methodist hospital, Gary, following a year's illness.
The decedent was born in Washington township, Porter county, Nov. 21, 1897, a daughter of Jesse Watts and Jennie (Ludington) Watts.
She was married April 5, 1920 in Valparaiso by the Rev. Guy O. Carpenter, of the First Methodist church.
Survivors include her husband; one daughter, Mrs. Robert M. Howell, Wanatah; one son, William Link, Jackson township; one granddaughter, Arlene Howell, Wanatah; one sister, Mrs. Burl Stoner, Hanna, Ind.; and two brothers, Glen Watts, Gary, and Ray Watts, Hammond.
Practically all her life was spent in this vicinity, except two years in Gary. She was a member of the Jackson Township Community church.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Bartholomew chapel on Washington street, Valparaiso, the Rev. Donald McKay, of the Central Baptist church, Gary, officiating. Burial will be in Westville cemetery.
Friends may call at the Bartholomew chapel from 2 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Friday and from 8 a.m. Saturday until time of services.
