Elizabeth "Betsey" Calling West Garrison was the daughter of Thomas West & Tabitha Dale, early settlers in Dekalb County, Tennessee (originally Smith Co). Elizabeth & Obadiah Garrison had a large family of eight children. They are my 2nd great, grandparents and I wish to honor them as beloved ancestors by placing here on this site, some of the information that I have gathered regarding them and their family. They lived and died near Liberty, Tennessee on property now owned by Robert Robinson. To get to the cemetery it is important to contact Mr. Robinson. The cemetery is on a hilltop among the trees and a beautiful spot. There are only three graves that we could find. The stones are well preserved. This farm is on Robinson Rd, west of Liberty, Dekalb, Tennessee. The stones read:
"OBEDIAH M. GARRISON BORN JULY 25, 1794 DIED AUG. 20, 1862"
"ELIZABETH C. GARRISON BORN JUNE 12,1792 DIED JUNE 5, 1862"
