Charles "Chuck"W. Tabor December 24, 1940 - December 18, 2005 Charles W. Tabor, 64, Grand Junction, CO passed away December 18, 2005 at St. Mary's Hospital. Charles was born in Montrose County on December 24, 1940 from the union of Curtis and Ruby Lett Tabor, and was a Grand Junction resident for thirty eight years. He graduated Delta High School in 1959 and married Ann Haptonstall-Dice in Carson City, Nevada on February 2, 1967. She survives. Charles spent his career life as a Brakeman for the D & RGW railroad. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, and making yard decorations. He was an avid sports fan, in particular a fan of the Broncos, Rockies and the Nuggets. He was a former Orchard Mesa Little League Coach and in 1991 took his team to the State Championships, where they won. Survivors include his wife Ann Tabor of Grand Junction, CO; and a legacy of three children: son, Robert J. Tabor of Colorado Springs, CO; and two daughters, Kristine Haremza and Karla Maslyk, both of Grand Junction, CO; and two grandchildren, Jason Haremza and Jacob Tabor. Other survivors include four brothers: Hubert Tabor of Delta, CO; Leon Tabor of Grand Junction, CO; Jim Tabor of Delta, CO; Larry Tabor of Norwood, CO; and three sisters: Jean Thompson of Olathe, CO; Lois Cribari of Montrose, CO; and Mae Kelley of Eckert, CO; his father-in-law Arthur Haptonstall and numerous nieces and nephews. Charles was preceded in death by a son, Kevin Tabor; five brothers: Buford, George, Ray, Roy, Rickey; and sisters, Erma and Dorothy. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm on Thursday, December 22, 2005 at Martin Mortuary with Mr. John Foreman officiating and burial at Orchard Mesa Cemetery following services. A visitation time will be held from 12:00 -1:00 pm prior to service time Thursday. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, Mesa County Unit, P.O.
