As written by Nolan Rosan, Feb. 1977:
"Aunt Dory was born June 12, 1878 and married Rolla Clark on June 5, 1895. Their firist child, Ella Mae, was born October 1, 1896. A second child, Wilson Stanley Clark, was born on October 25, 1898, but lived only a little more than three months. He died February 2, 1899. Livelys of America have no information other than to list Dora's birthdate. For much of the above information I am indebted, again, to Maxine Dace. I do know that other children were born. I remember Rolla Jr (Little Roll), Earl and Pearl (twins), and Lester. Whether there were others or not is not known.
I knew Ella Mae better than any of the others. She used to own and run a quick order food place south of DuQuoin near the fairgrounds. We would stop there on trips between Columbia and Christopher when we would be going to visit my parents in Christopher. Her pies were delicious. She is the one who said she felt that Mother Lively had Indian blood in her veins. She also is the author of the statement that my mother, Belle Lively, was considered quite a beauty in her youth and that Dad was lucky to have landed her. Ella Mae's first marriage broke up after the birth of her daughter, Beulah. She married later Guy Smith and they moved to Clearwater, Florida after his retirement. She was living there when she died. She also had a copy of the book, Livelys of America, and I am quite sure that had she lived she would have seen to it that her mother's family was included.
Rolla Jr (Peck) later became rather well know because of his stage appearances at which time he would consume in public view razor blades, electric light globes, nails, etc.
Aunt Dora and Uncle Roll lived in St. Louis for some time when she worked in one of the shoe factories. Uncle Roll died there and she later moved to Christopher where she died. One son, Lester, still lived there when I heard last."
