Mr. Dasher served in the Army during World War II. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Sacramento, a member of the Sacramento Masonic lodge and the Sonora Elks Lodge.
Mr. Dasher was survived by his wife of 54 years, Frances "Billie"; a son, Samuel J. Dasher, III; a daughter, Katherine; seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Private internment services were held at the Columbia City Cemetery.
