Mrs. Ida Mae Hurd, age 48, and wife of Ben Hurd of this city, passed away suddenly Monday at her home on Franklin Street. Death was due to a complication of diseases. Funeral services were held Tuesday at Mayodan, N.C., the former home of the deceased, and interment made in the Mayodan Cemetery. Her former pastor at Mayodan was in charge of the final rites.
Surviving besides her husband are five children. Mr. & Mrs. Hurd and family moved to this city from Mayodan about four months ago to make their home.
