He was a handsome man. He gave us, his family, a beautiful part of his life. A proud Grandfather, he loved genealogy and his Indian Heritage. This is only a small capsule of him. The stone has yet to be found to express all the love we have for him. (cont'd on back)
Donald Lee Clark, of mixed parentage, was born at the Seaside Hospital in Long Beach, California. Don grew up in Bellflower, graduating from Compton High School. He enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps on July 23, 1947 and served in the Caribbean and Mediterranean Theaters. After his Honorable Discharge from the service, Don married Barbara Jean Raabe on October 2, 1950. Of this marriage there were two sons, namely, Michael Lee born October 3, 1951, and Mark Sheridan, born October 21, 1954.
After Barbara's death in 1958, Don married Florence Nellie Elliott (nee: Snyder), a widow with two children, namely, Wanda Lucille Elliott and Donovan Vernel Elliott, Jr.
Don's occupation was Quality Assurance with the Douglas Aircraft Company of Long Beach, California. He was a resident representative to Douglas of Canada LTD., as well as a representative to the Dowty Rotol Group at Gloucester, England.
