ALVIN MASON, 93, of 587 Route 9, Erma, in Lower Township, died Wednesday in Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital, Cape May Court House. Born in Rio Grande, he was a lifelong area resident. Mr. Mason was a retired cable department employee of the Bell Telephone Co, a member of the Tabernacle United Methodist Church in Erma, for 80 years and a member of the Telephone Pioneers of American. Surviving are his son, George of Erma, a sister, Florence Frett of North Cape May; a granddaughter and two great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 11 am at the Evoy Funeral Home where friends may call from 10 am. Burial will be in Tabernacle Cemetery, Erma. Donations may be made to the South Cape Christian Academy, 123 Fishing Creek Road, North Cape May or the Tabernacle United Methodist Church.
