Betty Louise Cutler Howell, age 83, formerly of McCammon, Idaho, passed away peacefully at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Darri Howell, in Plummer, Idaho, Tuesday, June 24, 2008.
She was born August 2, 1924, in Pocatello, Idaho, the 16th child of Eathan Freeman Cutler and Ida Ella Lish Cutler. Betty grew up in Pocatello, where she enjoyed dancing, playing cards and singing.
She married Roland Sant Howell of McCammon, Idaho August 16, 1941. They were later sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple. They were married 53 years when Roland past away in 1994. Together they had five children. Two years after Roland passed away, Betty married Duane Weaver of Bosie, Idaho. They were married five years when he past away in 2001.
Betty was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in numerous church callings as well as spending a lot of time doing genealogy. She and Roland served an LDS mission to Rapid City, South Dakota, from l984 to 1986.
One of the highlights of her life was serving as a temple worker in the Boise, Idaho temple. She worked for three years as a Pink Lady doing volunteer work at the hospital in Boise. She will be remembered for her fun, enjoyable personality and the
close relationship she had with family and friends.
Survivors include one daughter, Renae Terry (Tony) of Logandale, Nevada; and three sons, Blaine Howell (Jennifer) of Pocatello, Stephen Howell (Darri) of Plummer, Idaho, and Bryce Howell, Boise, Idaho; 24 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren; one brother, William Cutler (Mable) of Chubbuck, Idaho; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Cheryl Howell.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 5, 2008, at noon at the McCammon LDS Stake Center, with Bishop Ivan Bullock of the McCammon Ward officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday prior to the service from 10 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Interment will be in the Norton Cemetery in McCammon, Idaho.
