Mr. Andrew Hustey, of Mountain Top, died Monday at Davis Manor, Mountain Top.
Born November 14, 1929, in the Georgetown section of Wilkes-Barre Township, he was a son of the late John and Mary Nicklas Hustey.
Andy was a 1947 graduate of Wilkes-Barre Township High School and a United States Army veteran of the Korean War. He was employed at Acme Markets for 41 years, retiring in 1990. He and his wife moved to Mountain Top in 1964 and were members of St. Jude's Church.
He was preceded in death by sons, Andrew, in 1999, and David, in 2008; brother, John; sisters, Anna Thomas, Margaret Judge and Dorothy Washington.
Surviving is his wife, the former Eleanor Mihalko, with whom he was married 55 years on June 6, 2008; grandchildren, Tara and Chris Pisano, Deanna Hustey, and Andrew Hustey; daughter-in-law, Teresa Hustey, Wilkes-Barre; aunt, Steffie Babinski, Wilkes-Barre; nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be heldFriday at 9:30 a.m. from the Jendrzejewski Funeral Home, 21 N. Meade St., Wilkes-Barre, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Jude's Church, Mountain Top, with the Reverend Christopher Washington officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary's Byzantine Cemetery, Dallas.
Friends may call Thursday evening, from 6 to 9 p.m.
Memorial donations may be sent to St. Jude's Church, S. Mountain Blvd., Mountain Top, or The Association of the Blind, 1825 Wyoming Ave., Exeter, PA 18643.
