Neeses - James L. "Jobie" Williams, 95, of Neeses, died Thursday, Dec. 25, 2008. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 28, at Beaver Creek Baptist Church, with the Rev. Jimmy Brown officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The casket will be placed in the church at 2 p.m. Sunday. Mr. Williams was born in Neeses, a son of the late Knolton and Annie Maude Hoover Williams. He was a retired construction worker and a member of Beaver Creek Baptist Church. He was married to the late Effie Mae Chavis Williams. He was preceded in death by a son, Lester J. Williams. Survivors include six grandchildren, James Williams of Springfield, Lester "Bubba" Williams Jr. of Charleston, Frances Carr of Columbia, Lynn Williams of Neeses, Wade Williams and Glenn Williams, both of Ohio; two brothers, Jim and Paul Williams, both of Neeses; seven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
