Edward was nicknamed Ted and went by that name his entire life. His son Glen remembers some stories:
Mom (Estella Johns) was with her friends in Pleasant View. She was wearing a yellow dress. Ted hated yellow, but they made a date and after that he'd walk 1 1/2 miles after work to visit her. One time he was sitting in a chair that was dusty. Estella said to her sister, "Maude, you should dust that chair." She replied, "If he'll stand up, I'll dust his bannister."
They married on 20 Jan 1928 and later had 2 children. In 1943 they moved to Shoshone, Idaho where they lived for 12 years. Then they moved to Nyssa Oregon for 2 years and then farmed out of Boise Idaho for a year. Finally they moved to town in Boise in 1958 where they stayed the remainder of their lives.
