Cause of death: diphtheria and scarlet fever
Originally interred at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Mattapan (Lot No. 1639, Southey Walk, near Mount Vernon and Union Avenues).

Some sources say that his middle name is Sumner and some say Summer.
