W. D. Magee of the Gorman community, died Tuesday, September 4, 1934, at the age of 81 years, seven months and 15 days, after several weeks of illness, death being due to heart trouble and the general infirmities of age. Mr. Magee, a successful farmer, was a man of affairs and prominence in his community, and is survived by one daughter, Mrs. L. V. Bankston of Mt. Hermon; and four sons, Marvin J. Magee, Sunny Hill; Talmadge Magee, Lake Charles; Noel W. and Hamp Magee of the Gorman community, and a number of grand-children; also by two brothers, A. G. and M. F. Magee. Funeral services were held at Fisher church of which he was a member, at 2:30 o'clock Wednesday, his pastor, Rev. A. A. McKnight officiating. Interment was in Fisher cemetery.
