Mildred Sanders, 93, of Hooks, Texas, died Wednesday, July 16, 2008, in a local hospital.
Mrs. Sanders was born May 15, 1915, in Clay County, Texas. She was a retired registered nurse and a member of Iris Garden Club, Eastern Star and First Baptist Church, Hooks. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred; and one daughter, Judith Ann Sanders.
Survivors include two sisters and one brother-in-law, Frances Goodknight of Frederick, Okla., and Lorena and Lavon Crook of Lawton, Okla.; one brother, James McManus of Chattanooga, Okla.; and a number of other relatives.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Chapelwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Roy Ford officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Building Fund, Hooks. Online registration is at www.chapelwoodfuneralhome.com.
